Custom club fitting has grown dramatically over the past decade but there seems to be more confusion than ever about what it entails. Industry offerings range from basic sessions like those you find at most golf retailers, to fully in-depth services like those we offer at Total fit. While any level of fitting is an improvement over buying off the rack, less comprehensive fittings will always produce less comprehensive performance gains.

Many players ask if they are “good enough” to benefit from a custom fitting. If you are a true beginner who has never played the game, services such as ours may offer little benefit although all players can benefit from basic recommendations based on height, body type and strength. Everyone else from scratch players to those who shoot in the 100’s can improve their performance and enjoyment of the game through a more advanced custom club fitting. In fact, less skilled players have less ability they have to make the compensations in their swing necessitated by poorly fitting equipment.
